Mental Health Aberdeen is a charity, local to Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire providing support services, counselling and advice to adults, young people and children affected by challenges related to mental health and wellbeing.
We provide services such as adult and youth counselling, befriending, carers support and community day centres.

Mental Health Aberdeen was formed in 1950, making it one of the oldest charities working with people experiencing mental health difficulties.

We have counselling services based in Aberdeen City, Peterhead, Aboyne and Banff. We also have youth counsellors based in Torry Academy, Bucksburn Academy, Dyce Academy and Harlaw Academy, as well as in Walker Road Primary and Tullos Primary School.

MHA provides a support and signposting service to carers that looking after someone at home who is struggling with mental health difficulties. Support groups are run in Stonehaven, Banff, Banchory, Peterhead and Inverurie.

MHA have four community day centres based in Ellon, Inverurie, Banff and Peterhead. All our centres run support groups and a variety of activities. All centres are open to all aged 16 and above.
